As it relates to the ego it is signaling that you are in a phase of transformation and the ego is anxious because it fears death. It feels that it won't be needed anymore. But ego is not annihilated it is integrated. Because ego is the soul in its most dormant state. Trust the process and realize that anxiety fades away so its only temporary. You are safe in this moment because you are safe enough to FEEL the anxiety. Anxiety is a teacher, and instead of running from it you can welcome it and say, "I see you. I honor you.  I love you. How can I help you? What are you here to teach me?" You can glean visionary wisdom by interacting with anxiety/worry and discovering why it's in your life, and share that wisdom with others. However, if your anxiety doesn't allow you to interact with life at all, then it is a signal that medical help is needed.
